Ceiling Fan Halogen Light Bulbs - Well "they," say that you CAn't stand a draft during winter months, but that you can equalize the air temperature through the use of your fan in the reverse way. I wondered why the older ceiling fans didn't get a reverse button. The individuals who designed those fans, only too stupid to think about used reverse in winter?
Until the temperature is comfortable at the reduced levels of the rooms, the heating unit runs. However, from the time this happens, it'll be quite hot in the ceiling level.
However, imagine if there clearly was a method to get this hot air down to the low levels, off the ceiling where we live. The heating unit wouldn't have to work long and also the savings on our utility bill could be substantial. This mixing would basically equalize the temperature at floor and ceiling levels, meaning the heat wouldn't be squandered keeping the ceilings warm.
But then someone said that the draft produced by the ceiling fans would be too much for winter months. So someone else said "well, let's only turn the ceiling fans and allow the air blow up until it hits the ceiling and then it'll go flat in all ways until it hits the walls. Until it hits the floor, then it'll come down. Now it's going to go, at floor level, back in toward the centre of the area and then back up to the ceiling fan.
