Chandelier Light Fixtures For Ceiling Fans - What is the reason for having a reverse button on ceiling fans? I wondered why the older ceiling fans didn't have a reverse button. Were the people who designed those fans, just too dumb to consider using reverse in winter?
Until the temperature is comfortable at the reduced levels of the rooms, the heat unit runs. But from the time this happens, it'll be very hot at the ceiling level.
But what if there was a solution to get this hot air down to the low levels, off the ceiling where we reside. The heat unit would not have to work long as well as the savings on our utility bill could be considerable. The temperature would essentially equalize at ceiling and floor levels, which means that the heat would not be squandered keeping the ceilings warm.
But someone said the draft made by the ceiling fans will be too much for winter months. So someone else said "well, let's just turn the ceiling fans and let the air blow up until it hits the ceiling and then it is going to go horizontal in most directions until it hits the walls. Afterward it will come down until it hits the floor. Now it then back up to the ceiling fan and will travel, at floor level, back in toward the centre of the space.
