Ceiling Fans For High Sloped Ceilings - I always wondered why the ceiling fans that were older did not get a reverse button. The people who designed those fans, just too ignorant to think of used reverse in winter?
The heat unit runs before the temperature is comfortable at the low levels of the rooms. But by the time this occurs, it'll be very hot at the ceiling level.
But what if there clearly was a solution to get this hot air down off the ceiling, to the low levels where we reside. The heat unit wouldn't need to work long as well as the savings on our utility bill could be substantial. The temperature would basically equalize at ceiling and floor levels, which means that the heat wouldn't be wasted keeping the ceilings warm.
But then someone said the draft developed by the ceiling fans would be too much for winter months. Until it hits the floor, afterward it's going to come down. Now it then back up to the ceiling fan and will travel, at floor level, back in toward the middle of the space.
