Powerful Ceiling Fan With Light - What is the reason for having a reverse button on ceiling fans? I always wondered why the older ceiling fans didn't get a reverse button. Were the individuals who designed those fans, simply too stupid to consider using reverse in winter?
The heat unit runs before the temperature is comfortable at the reduced amounts of the rooms. However, by the time this happens, it'll be very hot at the ceiling level.
However, imagine if there clearly was a method to get this hot air down to the low levels, off the ceiling where we dwell. The heat unit wouldn't need to work as long and also the savings on our utility bill could be substantial. The temperature would basically equalize at floor and ceiling levels, which means that the heat wouldn't be squandered keeping the ceilings warm.
But then someone said the draft made by the ceiling fans could be too much for winter months. Until it hits the floor, then it'll come down vertically. Now it then back up to the ceiling fan and will travel, toward the center of the space, back in at floor level.
